Odometer: 11207 miles
There are few classic motorcycles that are more stylish, better known or more enjoyable to ride than a Triumph Bonneville. The T140 was the second generation in the Bonneville series developed from the earlier 650cc T120 Bonneville and was produced by Triumph in a number of versions, including limited editions, from 1973 until 1983 when the company was declared bankrupt. Licensed production of the T140 Bonneville was continued by Les Harris between 1985 and 1988 at Newton Abbot in Devon, these machines became known as 'Harris' or 'Devon' Bonnevilles. While the late 60s Bonnies now come with very large price tags attached, the later T140 machines still remain relatively affordable for the time being. This Triumph Bonneville was originally manufactured by the Triumph Engineering Company, Meriden Works, Allesley, Coventry on 28th June 1973. This is a matching numbers motorcycle and showing only 11,200 miles on the odometer, although we have no paperwork to confirm whether this is correct. This bike is supplied to auction with a NOVA and a copy of the dating certificate from The Triumph Owners Motor Cycle Club. These stylish machines from the 70s are highly sought after and this 750 twin is expected to create interest.
