The Nissan Rogue is a compact crossover SUV and it made its debut the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on 7th January 2007. It replaced the Nissan X-Trail in Canada as Nissan's entry level SUV. The first generation Rogue remained in production for the 2013-2015 model years as the Rogue Select. The second generation launched in 2013 is currently Nissan's bestselling vehicle in the United States. A version of the Nissan Qashqai was released for the 2017 model year as the Nissan Rogue Sport, a replacement for the Rogue Select, it was slightly smaller than the regular Rogue and came with a 2.0 litre engine. The Nissan Rogue Sport is only sold in the United States. This Nissan Rogue Sport 'Qashqai' was one of many vehicles manufactured in Japan and initially destined for Northern America market, however due to their emissions standards these cars were never imported to the U.S. To prevent the car being resold through a Nissan dealership with a warranty, the side-curtain airbags were removed, all the other air bags remain as standard. The car was then shipped to Dubai before being imported to the UK. Upon entering the UK this car was IVA inspected to ensure registration can be issued from the DVLA. This lefthand drive Nissan Rogue Sport 'Qashqai' has a two litre petrol engine, two wheel drive and an automatic gearbox. The car has not yet to be registered with the DVLA but the vendor informs us that once sold he will register the car with the new keepers details, thus enabling any purchaser to be the first registered keeper. We are informed a similar model, of the same specification, purchased new in the UK would cost in the region of £28,000. Whilst supplied without any manufactures warranty Nissans have a reputation as being a very well built reliable vehicle; an independent warranty can be purchased from companies such as Warrantywise at a modest cost, for peace of mind if required.
