The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is a luxury saloon and was officially introduced in 1972 succeeding previous Mercedes-Benz models dating back to the mid-1950s. As the flagship of the Mercedes-Benz line-up, the S-Class has debuted many of the company's latest innovations, including drivetrain technologies, interior features and safety systems (such as seatbelt pre-tensioners). The W220 S-Class was completely re-styled in 1999 with a body that was slightly smaller and lighter than its predecessor. As with each new S-Class, the W220 brought in new innovations such as Airmatic air suspension and Active Ventilated Seats (which used miniature fans in the seats to move air through perforations). This wonderful top of the range Mercedes-Benz is presented in silver with black leather interior and can only be described as superb throughout. The car comes with air conditioning, electric glass sunroof, electric heated memory seats and cruise control. The current mileage is verified by the owner, with the odometer showing a mere 45,000 kilometres as this was imported from Japan. There is some service history in Japanese but it does show regular services from 2004 to 2011 and it comes with a MoT test certificate which expires in October 2019. A superb luxury saloon from the iconic German manufacturer which can be owned at a fraction of its original purchase price.
